The strawberry season in Kyrgyzstan has begun, and Holida and her husband have their hands full. Thanks to a loan from Bailyk, Holida can hire extra people to help with the harvest. This means the loan not only supports the growth of her business, but also creates additional jobs.

The project
Holida lives with her husband in Kyrgyzstan. She grows strawberries, while her husband also works as a shepherd. Thanks to a loan from microfinance institution Bailyk, Holida had the opportunity to invest in better strawberry plants. This led not only to a larger harvest and higher income, but also gave her the option to hire staff. Holida no longer has to work the land alone. Together, they are reaping the fruits of her business.
